Electropolishing gold and silver is an efficient and economical way to brighten jewellery, especially items with a complex geometry. This technique can be employed to brighten almost all silver and gold alloys (including centrifugal castings) with the exception of white gold/palladium.
Polishing cycles last between 5 – 30 seconds and even deeper and hidden surfaces can be successfully polished.
You will find details of the required polishing salts at pre-treatment under electroplating chemicals
This is a benchtop unit suitable for workshops. One item can be polished per cycle. The maximum surface of the workpiece should not exceed 10 – 15 cm².
The new PGG M offers electropolishing of titanium or stainless steel and electroplating of goods by simple switching at the same unit. Thus the PGG M combines two functions in one unit.
With this standard industrial system, a total surface area of 80 cm² can be polished during each cycle. The various control options of the rectifier such as infinitely manual adjustment of voltage, timer and impulse controlled modes make the EP 200 quite flexible. Due to these features batch production as well as serial production can be executed.
A dry heating protection is installed to monitor the bath level. If the solution drops below a preset level, the heaters turn off automatically.
A heating and cooling system is integrated in the process tank holding the process temperature at the optimum level.
